Drinkwater
With the midfield likely to be light of a couple of players next season. Would you try and steal Drinkwater away from Chelsea?

Re: Drinkwater
Man U reserve player that had his moment of glory when Kante carried him around the pitch.
Knows he will never do that again and has managed to GARNER a ludicrous contract at Chelsea.
Cant imagine he will want to give that up or Chelsea will give him away.
Read they want £53m for Babayoko who has been utterly abysmal.

Re: Drinkwater
He's just a more fashionable version of Mark Noble.

30m is a joke. He is slow as Noble too.

No.

Re: Drinkwater
Decent player, streets ahead of Kouyate, Noble and Obiang in the FOOTBALLER stakes , but he's a bit old and would take up a large portion of our wedge

I suspect a LOAN

Not sure the quoted £30m is steeling

Re: Drinkwater
Too old. I also don't think Chelsea will want to sell - they have a huge problem with the home-grown quota already.

Re: Drinkwater
We've been linked to him for £30m, which seems a huge amount of money for an average to good PL midfielder. Personally I don't think he's a big enough improvement on Noble to justify that sort of fee. If were going to be breaking our transfer record to land someone for that role, then a massive improvement on what we already have is the least I would expect. Not just an extra body.

Any potential buyer will have to pay over the odds because Chelsea will want to recoup the money they wasted on him last summer. Also add the fact that he's English which always puts a premium to the price.

I think we should monitor Wilshere's contract situation before looking at anyone else for this postion given that he's likely to be available on a free. Jack is better and younger that Drinkwater.

Jesus no.

That would be a terrible idea and probably exactly what our board would try to do.

Re: Drinkwater
I like Drinkwater and he's a bit of a unit but Chelsea did pay £35m for him and he must be on unbelievable wedge

Plus why would any half decent player come and play for our cunts of owners?

Re: Drinkwater
could be worth a punt if we can get him cheap enough

Re: Drinkwater
Why would he take a huge drop in wages to come and play for this fucking circus?
